Studio 10

Hey chickadees!!!

WELCOME TO GYPSY MERMAID STUDIO!!! studio 10 and pocket 026

You might be wondering why I titled this post Studio 10?! Well its because I have moved a dozen times and I pretty much have a new studio every year due to the moving! I think the only thing that's good about that is I NEVER forget what I have! It also reminds me of ALL the friends I have made through blogging and creating! My room is full of....

the flying pigs you will find scattered here and there through out my studio!(they were all given to me by my mom and mother in law)studio 10 and pocket 056

Shelves that are packed full of treasures that I have collected over the years and even stuff that my mom collected and passed on to me(the dresses were passed down my mom. She  wore them when she was a baby and I wore them when I was also). The butterflies were my grandmas and I use to play with them when I would visit her. The Wizard of Oz ornaments were a present from my little sister! I just love all these things to pieces!

studio 10 and pocket 032

And more shelves full of special things and items just waiting for me to create with!

studio 10 and pocket 015 studio 10 and pocket 024 studio 10 and pocket 034studio 10 and pocket 037 studio 10 and pocket 040 studio 10 and pocket 038 studio 10 and pocket 042

My packaging stuff!

studio 10 and pocket 049

How I store my paint and tools!! Easy to wheel my chair to and grab what I need!  studio 10 and pocket 043

Flowers in the jars, jewelry stuff in the jewelry boxes, little things in the small jars.

studio 10 and pocket 044

Chipboard letters in the cubbies, glitter in the trays, stickers in the suitcases.

 studio 10 and pocket 068

Pockets full of vintage treats!studio 10 and pocket 065 studio 10 and pocket 045

I know this much I just realized I have a addiction to vintage jewelry boxes! They are so great to organize my little what not things!studio 10 and pocket 035 studio 10 and pocket 039

Things that inspire me are arranged in front of me on my table. A tin full of small letter stamps, paintbrushes, a shoe with straight pens, and a two tiered tray full of vintage goodies! studio 10 and pocket 092

See my room isn't just for creating its where I go to remember my loved ones and friends! Its where I go when I need a break from "life" or just to kill time!

Its not just a studio                                     its my life captured by walls!

I hope you enjoyed my little tour! Please come back to visit me again and see just what I create!

Big mermaid hugs!

Also, I have a flying pig in my space as well, above my closet doors. I don't know if its a comment on the interior of the closet ;)

It's all so fresh and whimsical...I have to tell you my grandmom used to read us a book called Clemantina....the flying pig, it was a vintage counting book of sorts...so now everytime I see a flying pig I start to chant...1 2 3 4 5 6 6 Clemantina flys through heaven....your space is lovely!

Wow,
What a great studio. You have wonderful things and they are beautifully organized...such creative little bottles and boxes and suitcases. I love how you have your jewelry in vintage jewelry boxes. I am loving the musical background, too!

Some day, come and take a peek at my daughter and my blog, if you would like. It is three months old and not really just about my jewelry. I love paper crafting...she loves a million other things like vintage fashion. We were not in any shape to photograph but I am loving the tours.

We used to move alot too, so I can relate with the Studio 10! Used to get teased that I had more stuff come out of my craft room than any other or all the other rooms in the house... (Truth be told it was half true! Shhh!) I have been a papercrafter for over 10 years but a newbie to the blog community (2 wks!) I am really enjoying myself and want to thank you for the inspiration that I have received from your blog today~ Sherry F.
